(CNN) — A group of Florida teens who taunted a drowning man while filming his death from afar will not be criminally charged, according to police. WCCO-TV reports that Valerie Castile and Don Damond, whose loved ones died in separate Minnesota police shootings, met Thursday night outside Damond’s Minneapolis home before a rally for his fiance. “We’re just here to support the family, that’s all,” Valerie told WCCO-TV. NASHVILLE, TN — Researchers at Vanderbilt are partnering with colleagues at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to research the effectiveness of initiatives developed under the state’s “Drive to 55” campaign. The research partnership, made possible with a $400,000 grant, will establish the Tennessee Postsecondary Evaluation and Analysis Research Lab, or TN-PEARL this fall.
