The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority welcomed a Bahamas Aviation and Education Delegation this week for a visit focused on the continued growth of Nashville International Airport and expanding partnerships.
The delegation included JoBeth Coleby-Davis, minister of energy, utility and aviation of the Bahamas, and representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Utility and Aviation, the University of The Bahamas and the Airport Authority of The Bahamas.
Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority President and CEO Doug Kreulen and Middle Tennessee State University President Sidney McPhee also participated in the visit.
Representatives from the Bahamas Ministry of Energy, Utility and Aviation included Dr. Kenneth Romer, director of aviation and deputy director of tourism; Vaughn Newman, senior policy advisor; and Anthony Thompson, media specialist.
The University of The Bahamas delegation included Allyson Maynard-Gibson, KC, chair of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Keith Russell, chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Subcommittee; Debi Williams, board member; Dr. Robert Blaine III, president; and Denise Barnes, vice president of UB North.
The Airport Authority of The Bahamas was represented by Chairperson Paul Bevans and Managing Director Peter Rutherford Sr.
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority recently announced a landmark 2026 fiscal year (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026), highlighted by remarkable growth.
BNA welcomed a record 26.7 million passengers—a 7.7% increase over the previous year and the highest in its history.
