WASHINGTON, DC — The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP) and its Black Women’s Roundtable (BWR), in partnership with 40 Black women-led national and state-based organizations & allies, will officially launch the Unity ’26 “Power of the Sister Vote: GOTV & Democracy Defense National Tour” on first day of early voting in the state of Georgia on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The POSV Tour launch will kick off a nine-state, nonpartisan voter mobilization and democracy defense campaign running through Election Day, November 3, 2026. The national tour will engage Black voters across generations in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and South Carolina—with a focus on increasing Black voter participation, strengthening grassroots organizing, protecting voting rights and ensuring that Black communities have the information and resources needed to make their voices heard at the ballot box. The GA POSV Tour Stop partners includes Georgia Coalition for the Peoples Agenda, Georgia Stand-UP, Georgia Black Youth Vote, HBCU Green Fund/Clayton County BWR and others.

The Power of the Sister Vote National Tour is a Black women-led, multistate, integrated voter engagement effort that brings together national and local partners to mobilize Black women, men, young voters and families through voter education, community outreach, early voting activities, election protection & democracy defense training, phone banking and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) organizing activations.

Philip Randolph Institute, AFGE, AFSCME, APWU, CBTU, Children’s Defense Fund, Common Cause, Fair Elections Center,  Higher Heights for America, HBCU Green Fund, The King Center, National Black Justice Collective, Policy Link, RISE, Woke Vote and others.

“Black women have always been at the forefront fighting for our rights, freedoms, justice and democracy. Black women are clear what’s at stake. We have come together in a united front to maximize Black voter turnout, protect our voting rights & organizing our communities to show up in record numbers at the ballot box.” said Melanie L. Campbell, President and CEO of the NCBCP and National Convener of the Black Women’s Roundtable. “This is more than a tour. It’s a united movement. When know when we are united, we win.”

“Georgia is where we turn commitment into action. Through voter education, election protection, and grassroots organizing, we are working to ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to make their voice heard and their vote count” states Helen Butler, Executive Director, Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda and Convener, GA Black Women’s Roundtable
