Chief John Drake today announced the promotion of 13 officers to the rank of sergeant effective Saturday to fill existing vacancies primarily at the precinct level. “These 13 officers have demonstrated their commitment to the safety of Nashville in a number of ways during their careers, not the least of which is going through the challenging testing process to become supervisors,” Chief Drake said. NASHVILLE – A federal jury in Nashville has convicted Doctor Benjamin T. Toh, 68, of Chicago, Illinois, for his role in a more than $9.5 million health care fraud conspiracy, announced United States Attorney Henry C. Leventis for the Middle District of Tennessee. The defendant was indicted by a federal grand jury in December 2022. He was convicted of conspiracy to violate the federal Anti-Kickback Statute after a two-week trial. KNOXVILLE, TN – Visit Knoxville announces today that the Sunsphere base will be painted back to its original blue color, in Phase I of the plan to update and enhance the iconic structure. Phase II will see the construction of a new Sunsphere Visitors Center.
