Leighton Sheldon, renowned sports memorabilia expert and owner of Just Collect, will visit Nashville from Nov. 13 to 15. Sheldon, who gained national attention after appearing on the History Channel’s American Pickers, has built a career uncovering hidden treasures in the world of sports collectibles.
With more than 25 years of experience buying and selling more than $50 million in collections, Sheldon has become one of the most trusted names in the hobby. His expertise was called upon by American Pickers when hosts Mike Wolfe and Robbie Wolfe discovered a rare sports collection in Chicago. Sheldon provided a virtual appraisal, identifying unique items including a photo signed by Shaquille O’Neal to Dwyane Wade—an autograph so rare it could fetch up to 10 times the typical market value.
Sheldon’s company, Just Collect, has made headlines for major finds such as a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie card discovered on an Oregon farm and a $77,000 collection unearthed in Nebraska. He also purchased one of the largest vintage basketball collections ever assembled, featuring complete 1948 Bowman, 1957 Topps, and 1961 Fleer sets.
During his Nashville visit, Sheldon will be available to meet collectors and provide free appraisals of vintage sports and non-sports cards from 1879 to 1979. Collectors can connect with him through JustCollect.com or call (732) 828-2261 to schedule an appointment.
“Every collection has a story,” Sheldon said. “Whether it’s a single card or a lifetime of memories, I love helping people discover the true value of their treasures.”
