Vivian Wilhoite, Property Assessor, Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County

By Vivian Wilhoite

NASHVILLE, TN — Upon taking office, September 1, 2016, I knew that God and you had blessed me to continue to serve the people of Davidson County and my staff. Together, we, our staff, completed a successful 2017 Reappraisal that brought in $30 million in new-construction revenue. In 2018, we brought in approximately $28 million in new-construction revenue with 2019 on track for more than $30 million (before appeals) in new construction revenue. My staff rocks! In 2019, I was recognized as “Outstanding New Member” out of the 95 Tennessee county assessors, I know that I could not have done it without my awesome staff.

On May 6, 2019, we were informed that we earned national and international recognition for the Certification of Excellence in Assessment Administration by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) an awesome organization of approximately 8,000 members in the assessment profession who seeks to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in property valuation. We did it again.  Then about eight (8) months ago, with a lot behind us and much to look forward to, I started my designation journey for Certified Public Administrator (CPA).

I am proud to announce that I received my Certified Public Administrator (CPA) designation from UT County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS).  Concurrently, I am working on my IAAO designation and look forward to obtaining it this year as well. My staff knows that I love being in the office with them, working with them and for you, the public. I thank my extraordinary staff for assisting me on this journey. I thank you, the public, for blessing me to be your Assessor of Property of Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County. No one does it alone. I call this God’s Plan. #IAmGrateful #WeValueYou
