The nation’s oldest sorority founded by African American women are making their voices heard in a new way this election season. As first reported by Salon, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has reportedly filed paperwork withthe Federal Elections Commission on Friday to launch a Political Action Committee (PAC). The sorority, which already has a voter mobilization operation, filed to create the AKA 1908 PAC, connected to the organization’s headquarters in Chicago.
