    Nashville, TN – September 30, 2024 – Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), an iconic figure in American politics and an advocate for social justice, will be making a highly anticipated visit to the historic First Baptist Church, Capitol Hill on Sunday, October 13, 2024, for a special morning service. Congresswoman Waters is visiting as part of a broader effort to engage with the Nashville community and inspire voter participation leading up to the 2024 elections.

    As the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee and a tireless champion for racial and economic equality, Congresswoman Waters has been a leading voice in the fight for affordable housing, economic reform, and civil rights.
