Deacon Charlie Grimes began his path to the Diaconate in 2008 and was ordained by The Right Reverend John Bauerschmidt. He was ordained almost seven years ago and has been part of the Holy Trinity family for last four years.
Grimes, a native of Memphis, TN, has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis, attended the Diocese of Tennessee Vocational Diaconate formation program at St. Mary’s Sewanee. As a Vocational Deacon, Charlie was assigned to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, concentrating on Outreach Ministry. Grimes has been a member of the St. Paul Episcopal since 1986.
Grimes is retired from AT&T and currently works full time for Huber & Lamb Appraisal Group, Inc. and has been a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal since 1986.
Grimes and wife, Becky have two children, Angela Garner and Stephanie Stanley. They have been blessed with seven grandchildren: Callie, Jenna, Grayson and Sadie Garner and Wells, Reeves and Anders Stanley.
