Since opening its doors as Nashville’s first full-fledged medical facility in 1890, Nashville General Hospital has built a legacy of providing services to the community.
In June and July, Nashville General Hospital will connect with the community through its expanded women’s services and special events. Each one brings to life the hospital’s commitment to serve as a beacon of hope and compassion and to make high-quality healthcare accessible to all.
Here’s how you can connect with Nashville General Hospital:
June 5
Cancer Survivorship Celebration
Nashville General Hospital will celebrate its 14th annual Dr. Robert E. Hardy Cancer Center Heart & Soul of Survivorship Celebration on Sunday, June 5 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the hospital’s 11th Floor Board Room. The event honors cancer survivors and their families, offering them an opportunity to share their stories. The hospital is home to the second-oldest accredited cancer program in Nashville.
June 18-19
Music City Freedom Festival
In support of Nashville’s Juneteenth celebration, Nashville General Hospital is the official sponsor of the Music City Freedom Festival. The city-wide event takes place June 18 and 19 from noon to 8 p.m. at historic Hadley Park. The festival celebrates the community’s culture, food, music, businesses and organizations, complete with live band performances, DJ music, local food trucks, local shopping vendors and inflatables for children.
July 11
Expanded Women’s Services with 3D mammography Open House
You got your wish – less squish! The hospital’s Fujifilm ASPIRE Cristalle mammography system uses a low X-ray dose to produce exceptional 3D image quality across all breast types, resulting in more accurate readings and fewer callbacks for additional screening. Its patented Comfort Paddle flexes four ways to provide a more comfortable mammogram, and the four-second 3D sweep means less time under compression. Monday, July 11 at 10 am, Medical Imaging, Breast Health Center, first floor.
July 22
CHEN Access to Care Gospel Concert
Nashville General Hospital’s Congregational Health & Education Network (CHEN) presents the inaugural NHABIT Worship Experience on Friday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at the Ryman Auditorium. The family-friendly concert event will feature performances by Kierra Sheard, James Fortune, Anita Wilson, Ron Poindexter, Randy Weston, Crystal Aikin, Jabari Johnson and Nate Bean and 4Given.
