    Miss Tennessee Galaxy, Heading to International Pageant

    NASHVILLE, TN —  On June 30th, Sadie Hughes was crowned Miss Tennessee Galaxy 2019 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Not only was she awarded the State Title, she received the Miss Congeniality Award that was nominated by Pageant Staff and will be featured on Pageant Planet.

    Sadie, of Murfreesboro Tennessee, has been selected as Miss Tennessee Galaxy and will compete for the title of Miss Galaxy on Sunday, August 25th at Caribe Royale Suites and Convention Center.

    Sadie is 21 years old who was born and raised in the small town of Fayetteville. She currently attends Middle Tennessee State University where she is studying Elementary Education.

    Should Hughes be crowned Miss Galaxy on August 25th, she plans to spend her year of service promoting the importance of self-love and confidence. “Every body is beautiful. Be S.T.R.O.N.G S. is a platform I have created that stands for Strong, Trustworthy, Respectful. Optimistic, Noble and Graceful. Every person is beautiful in their own way. I want to show the next generation that beauty is within and that they can achieve anything

    they set their minds to no matter their past.” – Sadie Hughes, Miss Tennessee Galaxy She will continue to promote this Platform throughout her year of service as a Representative of Tennessee.

    Sadie was raised by her Grandmother, Vickey Perry at a very young age. “She has taught me everything I know!” 

    A fun fact about our Miss Tennessee is that she is a HUGE Baseball Fan. Her cousin plays for the New York Yankees. 

    Nashville’s Davis Crowned Jr Miss Tennessee Galaxy 2019

    NASHVILLE, TN — Katie Davis was crowned Jr Miss Tennessee Galaxy 2019 on June 30th at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

    Not only was she awarded the State Title, she received the Heart of a Volunteer Award, in honor of our friend Janice Oulton that was nominated by Pageant Staff.

    Katie, of Gallatin Tennessee, has been selected as Jr Miss Tennessee Galaxy and will compete for the title of Jr Miss Galaxy on August 21st-August 25th at Caribe Royale Suites and Convention Center.

    Davis is currently an Honor Roll Student going into the 7th grade at Aaron Academy. She has received the Volunteer Award from the Shalom Zone in Gallatin and awarded Violinist of the Year for the past two years from the Junior Nashville Suzuki Players.

    Should Davis be crowned Jr Miss Galaxy on August 25th, she plans to spend her year of service promoting the importance of the Organization Nurses for Newborns. “Katie was born at 21 weeks in Nashville. She was in the N.I.C.U. for over 4 months.” Mother – Dana Davis.

    Katie is clearly on a Mission and she is only 12 years old. Her close connection with Nurses For Newborns has lead her to be appointed their Jr Ambassador. She is traveling across the state advocating for premature babies and has over goo Hours of Community Service. Her goal is to ensure at risk families are aware of the free in-home services from Nurses For Newborns. She will continue to promote this Platform throughout her year of service as a Representative of Tennessee. “I have personally helped collect over 3,000 packages of diapers. My most valuable contribution to this title would simply be leading by example. I want to let everyone know they can accomplish their dreams!” – Katie Davis

    A fun fact about our Jr Miss Tennessee is that she has had over 369 siblings. How you may ask? Her Parents Brandon and Dana have been taking in Foster Children since before she was born. Katie considers every child that has come through their doors Family. She also can play the Fiddle! 

    Prentice Crowned Mrs Tennessee Galaxy 2019

    NASHVILLE, TN — On June 30th Amanda Prentice was crowned Mrs Tennessee Galaxy 2019 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.  Not only was she awarded the State Title, she received the Sprit of Pageantry Award that was nominated by Pageant Staff

    and Presented by Pageantry Magazine.

    Amanda, of White House Tennessee, has been selected as Mrs Tennessee Galaxy and will compete for the title of Mrs Galaxy on Sunday, August 25th at Caribe Royale Suites and Convention Center.

    Prentice holds a Three Degrees from the Tennessee Tech University. She is a 32 year old wife and othmer. She has been Married Matthew Prentice for 9 years and they have 2 Boys, Carter and Charlie.  Amanda currently is a 1st Grade Teacher at Dr. William Burrus Elementary.

    Should Prentice be crowned Mrs Galaxy on August 25th, she plans to spend her year of service promoting the importance of Literacy. “Literacy is more than just reading a book, it is an umbrella of skills that are needed for children to become strong, confident readers. My goal is to help children learn to love reading, as well as help parents understand what the umbrella of Literacy is. I also want to help parents become aware of the Free Books From Birth to age 5 Program that is available, as well as provide resources to parents on skills and strategies they can use to help their children!”  – Amanda Prentice, Mrs Tennessee Galaxy.  https://imaginationlibrary.com  She will continue to promote this Platform throughout her year of service as a Representative of Tennessee.

    Miss Teen Tennessee Galaxy Attending Pageant August 25, 2019

    NASHVILLE, TN — Brooklyn Tippett of Brentwood, Tennessee has been selected as Miss Teen Tennessee Galaxy and will compete for the title of Miss Teen Galaxy on Sunday, August 25th at Caribe Royale Suites and Convention Center.

    Tippett is going to be a Senior at Ravenwood High School where she is a Straight A Student and the Vice President of the French Honors Society.  She has received the President’s Honor Roll and Academic Athlete Awards the last 3 years.  Brooklyn is the daughter of Tim and Monica Tippett.  She has a Twin Brother, Tyler Tippett.  Outside of school, she also is a Student Leader in the Brentwood Baptist Student Ministry and is a member of Young Life.

    She is currently a Lifeguard at Lifetime Fitness.  Her career ambition is to become a Pediatric Nurse and travel the world with a medical mission team.  Her long term plan is to work as a pediatric nurse with terminally ill children.

    Should Tippett be crowned Miss Teen Galaxy on August 25th, she plans to spend her year of service promoting the importance of Childhood Illness.  “In 2013, my cousin, Samantha was diagnosed with kidney cancer at the age of 4.  Inspired by my cousin’s battle, I plan on using my title to work with organizations that help terminally ill children.”  – Brooklyn Tippett, Miss Teen Tennessee Galaxy. https://middletennessee.wish.org/  She will continue to promote this Platform throughout her year of service as a Representative of Tennessee and Volunteer with Vanderbilt University.  https://www.childrenshospitalvanderbilt.org/information/ways-help
