Pleasant Green Church Plans Outdoor Easter Service

NASHVILLE, TN — Plans are underway at Pleasant Green Baptist Church for a mega outdoor worship experience on Resurrection Day Sunday, April 4. The service will be held at 10:00 AM in the parking lot of the church located at 1410 Jefferson Street. Worshippers may remain in their cars or view the service from an outside socially distanced seating section. All participants will be asked to wear masks.

The church anticipates a large number in attendance at this service. In addition to the church’s regular membership, residents in the surrounding community have also been invited. Upon arrival, worshippers will receive a special gift bag and information about other Pleasant Green worship ministries.

The motivation for this outdoor worship concept was a desire to bring the members of the church back together in an in-person format. Although many members are enjoying the weekly Facebook Live broadcasts on Sundays, many members have stated that they miss seeing each other in person.  Additionally, the church hopes to increase awareness about Pleasant Green and its activities by inviting the community to this event. Pleasant Green Pastor Christopher Jackson stated, “I look forward to celebrating Resurrection Day with the community in this unique way. After surviving 2020, we have so much for which to be grateful to God, and we plan to show it.”

Socially safe regular in-person worship services will resume at Pleasant Green the following Sunday on April 11th. Temperatures will be checked at the entrances, and worshippers will be asked to wear masks and observe safe seating arrangements. For additional information, you may call the church office at {615} 329-1189.

Note – digital pictures of the church and Rev. Christopher Jackson will follow in a separate email.
