NASHVILLE, TN — TriStar Centennial Medical Center announced recently the appointment of its Chief Operating Officer. Justin Coury, MHA, will assume the role overseeing operations for the 657-bed, 43-acre campus located in Nashville on September 1, 2017.
Coury comes to TriStar Centennial with six years of administrative leadership within HCA Healthcare hospitals, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Ethics and Compliance Officer for Medical City Denton in Denton, Texas. There, he was responsible for expanding surgical care services with the acquisition of the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system, and the completion of a $5.5 million Emergency Department renovation.
“Justin is a proven transformational leader with past experience in the daily operations of a complex array of specialties such as advanced open heart surgery, trauma care and comprehensive neurosurgery,” said Scott Cihak, President and Chief Executive Officer at TriStar Centennial. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our team to lead the next phase of expansion projects and are confident his leadership will continue to support our hospital goals in exceeding national standards for patient safety and service excellence.”
Prior to leading operations at Medical City Denton, Coury served as Associate Chief Operating Officer at Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas, and increasingly moved into numerous leadership positions at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Coury earned his undergraduate degree in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a Master of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Coury replaces Brian Marger who recently transitioned to his new role as Chief Executive Officer for TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.
