Black Santa will make special appearances across Nashville this holiday season, bringing a blend of culture, community, and celebration to Music City. The events, hosted by the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), Historic Jefferson Street, and Cool Springs Galleria, highlight holiday traditions while supporting local businesses and honoring African American heritage.

National Museum of African American Music: Musical Gifts

The National Museum of African American Music will host its second annual Musical Gifts event, featuring live performances, a silent auction benefiting Black-owned businesses, and photo opportunities with Black Santa. Black Santa will also be available for photos every Saturday in December leading up to Christmas. The event celebrates the holiday season while focusing on the preservation of African American music history.

Holiday Village on Historic Jefferson Street

Scheduled for December 6th and 7th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, the Holiday Village on Historic Jefferson Street will feature music performances, hot cocoa stations, and a holiday market showcasing local Black vendors. The event also includes Kwanzaa tributes and opportunities for families to meet Black Santa. The Holiday Village is organized with the support of local partners, including the Civic Design Center and the Local Farmers Market.

Cool Springs Galleria: Black Santa Experience

From December 5th to 9th, the Cool Springs Galleria will host the Black Santa Experience at Santa’s Workshop. Families can take photos with Santa, write letters to him, and drop them in his mailbox. Pet-friendly Santa visits will be available every Monday through December 16th.

These events provide opportunities for families to celebrate the season while participating in activities that reflect Nashville’s diverse cultural traditions.
