GOODLETSVILLE, TN — Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church recently celebrated its senior pastor, Howard E. Jones Sr., for 29 years of leadership. Based on the theme, “Equipped to Edify the Body of Christ,” there were three services at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The services featured Pastor Ronald Parham, Edmondson Chapel Baptist Church; Rev. Edwin Sanders, Metropolitan Interdenominational Church; and Pastor John Jordan, Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church, Knoxville.
“Our goal was to celebrate Pastor Jones and thank him for his strong leadership, kind heart, and undisputable drive to teach and preach for the edification of God,” said Mary Davis, chairperson of the Pastor’s Aid Ministry, who coordinated the event along with all the ministries of the church.
Each service featured personal reflections from select members who shared how Pastor Jones’ leadership positively impacted their lives. Pastor Jones spoke at each service to thank the guest pastors, members, and guests for their support.
“This has been a joyous journey, filled with love, family, faith, fellowship, and a driving force for a future of togetherness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I bid you Peace,” said Pastor Jones.
