NASHVILLE, Tenn., (TN Tribune) – Metro Public Health Department officials announced today a new COVID vaccine initiative to reach Davidson County’s homebound residents. Health officials have set up the following email address Homebound.Vaccination@Nashville.gov for homebound residents to request the COVID vaccine.
When requesting a home visit for a homebound individual, please include name, address, email address, age, and if there is a home health agency affiliation. Health Department officials will follow up with an email with the date and appointment time for the home visit.
Appointments for the homebound can also be scheduled by calling the COVID-19 hotline, 615-862-7777. The hotline is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Health officials will offer a choice of the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The effort to reach those who are homebound is another initiative by MPHD to increase the percentage of those in Nashville who have been vaccinated.
