NASHVILLE, TN (TN Tribune) – Slim + Husky’s Pizza has teamed with Diskin Cider, Nashville’s first and only craft cidery, for a kitchen takeover inside Diskin’s Wedgewood Houston tasting room.
Diskin customers began enjoying the pizzeria’s mouth-watering offerings during its mid-June soft opening. Known for its Artisan selections, the Slim + Husky’s Diskin menu features eight popular signature pizzas, current and new wing flavors, two new signature salads, stuffed cheesy bread and crowd favorite cinnamon rolls. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
“We have wanted to work with Slim + Husky’s for some time and we are ecstatic that we can finally work together to do something really cool,” said Todd Evans, Co-Founder of Diskin Cider.
Slim + Husky’s Pizza has been looking to develop its original ‘beeria’ branding by exploring opportunities to expand its craft beverage options. In May, the pizzeria kicked off a series of tap takeover events, collaborating with Diskin on “So Icy” cider release parties at middle Tennessee Slim + Husky’s locations followed by the June kitchen takeover announcement.
“Our team has wanted to open in the Wedgewood Houston area for several years. The opportunity to collab with Diskin gives us an immediate ability to serve the WeHo community alongside another brand that values its neighbors. We hope to add to the already cool vibes that Diskin provides and that have been brewing within this district. We look forward to being a major part of the vastly growing developments coming to this area, shared Slim + Husky’s Co-Founder Clint Gray.
The official kitchen takeover launches Thursday, June 27, followed by a collab celebration during the summer release party of Diskin’s new “Cherry Bomb” cider. While Slim + Husky’s kitchen will share the same hours of operation as the Cidery, it will eventually feature a streetside takeout window, accepting walk-up orders.
