The ‘D’ Word With Kate Anthony (psst its’ divorce)

NASHVILLE, TN — I recently had the pleasure of getting to know author, podcaster, and divorce coach specialist Kate Anthony about the release of her book “The D Word: Making the Ultimate Decision About Your Marriage.” If the antedote for sadness in the world is a sense of belonging, that other people are going through the same things we are (no matter how unique they feel in the moment), Kate Anthony is fully tapped into comforting lonely, isolated feeling women who are in need of help when it comes to all things divorce related.

With a tab on her website that encourages women to order her new book discretely if they do not feel safe to “put it on their coffee table,” Anthony has thought of everything in regards to protecting her targeted audience. “Ultimately I had to make this decision for myself about 17 years ago, and there wasn’t this kind of information available. There was no instagram, no podcasts, and I would ask people how do you know when it’s time? We tend to have this sense that there is one more thing around the corner.. one more therapist, one more personal development workshop, one more relationship expert, one more thing that can make it better. I kept asking people how do you know when you’ve reached the end of the line? The best responses that I would get at that time were “you’ll know when you know”, which was not helpful.“ Anthony professed.

Anthony’s main objective is build strong, independent women who can become their best selves in all roles of their lives, without stigma. Her work begins with women who are currently struggling with weighing their options of staying or leaving their husband, and opening the door to divorce. She strongly emphasizes the need for women with children who are in the throws of a difficult relationship to decide and decipher what it best for them, which will ultimately be best for their kids. “I started working as a coach and I’ve heard literally thousands of stories from women, who are going through this. My  facebook group has over 18 thousand women in it, and it is the most actively engaged place. After hearing these stories over and over for over 12 years in my work, I put together a pretty clear list of the frequently asked questions and I wanted this to be a gift for women who are struggling. We don’t have to be powerless and waiting around. There is information and there are exercises and there is a process that can help” Anthony shared.

“The most powerful thing for women in particular is to know that we are not alone. Others have walked this path before them, and have come out the other side and been okay. We are waiting for you to come on over, and join us, and we can guide you there. When you don’t know that other people have gone through the same things, it can be really isolating, I need women to know things don’t have to feel that way” Anthony commented.

Kate’s Podcast “The Divorce Survival Podcast”  has hundreds of episodes covering a wide variety of emotions that come with all things divorce, and an audio version of the “The D Word” has also been released on all streaming platforms. Kate has a plethora of knowledge, resources, and information on how to best navigate making this difficult and life altering decision with a mission to foster self love and self knowledge in all women.
