NASHVILLE, TN — The Tennessee Titans get an extra day to prepare for a tough foe as the Buffalo Bills come to town for a Monday night contest. The Titans gave the Jacksonville Jaguars their 20th straight loss Sunday 37-19, improving their record to 3-2 and getting a split of their two game road trip to New York and Florida. They also remain atop the AFC South.
Offensively the Titans prime weapon remains running back Derrick Henry. He’s on pace to set NFL records for carries and yardage. At his current game average he would set the record even in a 16-game season. Henry had 130 yards on 29 carries and also scored three touchdowns. He now has 60 in his Titans career. His rushing production is helping the Titans overcome a limited passing attack still missing receiver Julio Jones. A J Brown did return, but Ryan Tannehill had less than 200 yards passing (164).
The Titans defensively made a huge stop on fourth and one late, preventing a Jaguars touchdown. They also got an early defensive touchdown as Kevin Byard returned a fumble for a score.
