Dear Editor, In the second impeachment trial, Mr. Trump’s lead lawyer barely concealed his client’s racism, sexism, and anti-Semitism. He directed special vitriol toward Vice President Kamala Harris, and House Manager Jamie Raskin. Attorney van der Veen endlessly repeated visual images of Ms. Harris, essentially depicting a Mammy gone rogue, and portrayed Mr. Raskin, a Jewish man, as morally and professionally bankrupt.  remembers the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2002. At the time, he was working for the California Department of Public Health. “Those of us who are physicians or public health people were terrified because what we saw was a perfect storm situation,” Carlisle said. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – At its first walk-in vaccination clinic, the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System administered more than 1,400 Moderna COVID-19 doses Saturday to enrolled Veterans. Nashville, TN (TN Tribune)–The Labor movement in Middle TN mourns the loss of retired ATU Local 1235 retiree Elizabeth Duff who died today from complications from COVID-19.   Mrs. Duff was Nashville’s first Black woman to become a bus operator. Born and raised in Nashville, Elizabeth Duff was always intrigued by the city buses. As a kid, she would just sit on the bus and watch the driver do his job. Nashville, TN (TN Tribune)–Multiple people were injured Saturday in a 21-vehicle crash on an icy roadway in Nashville. Twelve people were taken to local hospitals, fire officials said. Twelve others involved in the crash were not injured.
