Nashville, TN — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, the region’s premier youth mentoring organization, proudly joins in celebrating National Mentoring Month throughout January. This annual celebration aims to raise awareness about the power of mentoring and encourage individuals to get involved.

National Mentoring Month highlights the importance of mentorship in transforming the lives of youth, providing them with guidance, support, and opportunities to reach their full potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is at the forefront of this movement, connecting caring Bigs (mentors) with Littles (mentees) to create meaningful relationships that have a lasting impact.

“National Mentoring Month is a celebration and reflection of the incredible journeys our Bigs and Littles experience when placed in a mentoring relationship. It calls our nation to recognize that mentorship impacts the whole system – creating ripples of positive impact through the Big, Little, and communities in which they belong. We invite everyone in our community to consider becoming a mentor or investor of our program to make a powerful impact in their lives,” says Lauren Fenn, Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement.

On January 25th, the Korean Veterans Bridge will light up in green and white to commemorate this special celebration. The organization encourages everyone to get involved, whether by becoming a mentor, investing in the cause, or spreading awareness about the importance of mentoring in shaping the future of our youth.

Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to thank everyone who has partnered to make this month possible. Together, we can inspire hope, empower futures, and create a brighter tomorrow for the future citizens and leaders of our communities.
