NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In hopes of capitalizing on a final push before election day, Nov. 5, a group calling themselves Brothas for Kamala is holding three simultaneous rallies to intensify voter turnout for Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz for president and vice president, respectively.
The concurrent events are all being held at three Soul Restaurants Thursday, Oct. 24, 6-10 p.m. Voters are being asked to attend a rally closest to their homes or businesses. The three locations are: 6317 Charlotte Pike (Nashville); 2419 Edge O Lake Drive (Antioch); and 2804 S. Rutherford Boulevard (Murfreesboro).
The group has set an ambitious goal for the country to turn out 100 million votes for Kamala Harris to demonstrate strong support for Kamala Harris, and in the hope the election results will less likely be contested.
One of the organizers, Attorney Michael Grant, a long-time activist in the Nashville community said, “This is no ordinary election. The stakes are too high and, yes, the survival of American democracy is on the ballot. The only candidate for president strong enough to defeat a movement toward autocratic rule is Kamala Harris.
“Her campaign is also a herculean effort to unite Americans from across the ideological spectrum,” Grant continued. “Black men, joining other patriotic Americans, must do our part to protect this sacred democracy. That is why we will be working hard to turn out the vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”
