Executive Chef Rahaf Amer

NASHVILLE, TN — East Nashville’s Walden has announced that Rahaf Amer will join their team as Executive Chef. Amer will oversee the bar’s culinary offerings, expanding their menu to include a wider range of small plates, while maintaining their ethos of approachable and affordable fare.

Prior to joining the team at Walden, Amer served as Executive Chef at Nashville’s SALT & VINE. There she was able to make her mark by infusing global influences into the wine bar’s menu of rich small plates. Amer is an experienced chef who has spent time working across kitchens in the Washington DC area before moving to Nashville. She was born in California and raised in Washington DC, but shares strong ties with her family’s Syrian heritage. 

“Helping to evolve women-owned businesses in the restaurant industry is a big passion of mine,” said Amer. “I’m so excited to join Walden’s female-dominated team and put my own spin on their culinary offerings.” 

Walden, which opened in March, is located in East Nashville’s East Hill Row neighborhood. The bar is known for offering more than36 taps of rotating beer, wine and house-made cocktails on draft, all under $10. Walden is located at 2909B Gallatin Pike in Nashville and is open Monday through Friday at 3 pm with service Saturday and Sunday starting at 12 pm.
