    Igniting the Future: Dr. Patricia Malone Smith Elected President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Metropolitan Nashville Chapter

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated (NCBW), Metropolitan Nashville Chapter proudly announces that its sisterhood has elected

    Dr. Patricia Malone Smith as its new President, effective October 1, 2025.

    Dr. Smith succeeds Janet Rachel, who since 2021 has led with distinction, vision, and unwavering commitment at the chapter and national level. Under her leadership the chapter received three Model Chapter awards, increased partnerships and visibility, and elevated advocacy programs for Black women and girls across Middle Tennessee.

    “I am extremely proud of all that we accomplished together and deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our members, sponsors, and community”, said Janet Rachel, Immediate Past President. Together, we strengthened our voice, broadened our impact, and demonstrated that when Black women lead with purpose and dedication, transformative change is not only possible it becomes a reality.”

    Dr. Smith a dedicated member since 2016 brings to her presidency a deep passion for education, health equity, economic advancement, and civic engagement. Her leadership will build upon the strong foundation established by previous administrations while positioning the Nashville Chapter for continued growth and innovation.

    “It’s a privilege to continue this legacy of excellence and service,” said Dr. Patricia Malone Smith, President. “We are entering an exciting new chapter one that builds on our achievements while expanding our reach to uplift even more Black women and girls. Our mission is clear: to be a powerful voice for equity, leadership, and lasting change.”

    As the Metropolitan Nashville Chapter looks ahead, it remains steadfast in advancing the mission of NCBW to advocate on behalf women and girls by promoting leadership development and gender equity in health, education, and economic empowerment. The Chapter’s upcoming advocacy priorities will continue focusing on issues that directly impact the quality of life, safety, and economic well-being of women and families across Middle Tennessee.
