Metro Social Services in partnership with Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee and Greater St. John M.B. Church
“Hunger No More Nashville” Food Pop Up food box giveaway, a signature program of Metro Social Services. Anyone in need of food is invited to pull up in their vehicles and get a food box. They can also get a free coat for their kids, thanks to the coat drive hosted by Greater St. John. They’ve collected 400 coats.
No registration or documentation is required.
Free shuttle will provide rides home for those who walk or are dropped off. Pre-registered seniors and disabled will have their food delivered to them.
WHEN: 8am, November 8, 2025
Media planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early.
Historically, recipients arrive at least 2 hours ahead of start time. For safety and crowd control, sometimes we have had to push up the start time. We anticipate even larger crowds this Saturday.
Our crews will be on site as early as 6am to set up.
WHERE: Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2200 26th Ave North, Nashville, TN
SPECIAL PLANNING NOTES:
- Our Home Ambassadors will be delivering food boxes to seniors and disabled who registered for food delivery. If you would like to be partnered with them on their route, please contact Harriet Wallace, no later than noon Friday, to arrange. Routes to begin at 8am.
- We’ve received nearly 150 calls, and counting, requesting food delivery and have a running wait list.
