Ruby Jean Battle Smith age 86, transitioned on August 12, 2020, peacefully at home.
Ruby taught in the Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County Public School system for thirty years.
Preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Smith, Jr.
Survived by daughters, Emilie Smith Miller, and Attorney Joy Smith Kimbrough; son, Thomas H. (Barbara)Smith III; sister-in-law, Caroline Tillery; 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral Services were held at Mt. Pisgah UMC, 6245 Mount Pisgah Road Nashville, TN 37211. Rev. Sheila Williams, Pastor. Interment Greenwood North by Premier Funeral & Cremation Services
