NASHVILLE, TN — Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC), Nashville’s oldest non-profit health center, has received a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), to improve equity in cancer screenings throughout Nashville, Clarksville and Smyrna. This $5 million initiative is part of President Biden’s Cancer Moonshot Initiative, which aims to close the cancer screening gap, decrease the impact of preventable cancers, and support patients and caregivers. NASHVILLE, Tenn., (TN Tribune) – TriStar Health is expanding its graduate medical education (GME) program to include accredited programs in emergency medicine and neurology at TriStar Skyline Medical Center, beginning in the summer of 2023.
