Nashville, Tenn. – Senator Bernie Sanders and State Rep. Justin Jones will join forces at Rally to Raise the Wage on Friday, June 2. The event, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., will be held at Henderson A. Johnson Memorial Gymnasium located at Fisk University, 910 Dr D.B. Todd Jr. Blvd., Nashville, TN 37208.
With doors opening at 5:30 p.m., supporters are urged to RSVP to secure their spot in this rallying cry for economic justice. The rallying duo aims to gather like-minded individuals who are committed to championing the cause of raising the minimum wage to $17 an hour.
Jones Tweeted:
“In Tennessee it’s easier to get an AR-15, than it is to get a living wage job. It doesn’t have to be this way— our people deserve to live with dignity, not starvation wages. Join us Friday at Fisk University!!”
