Holiday Service to include multiple routes, special event train Downtown
NASHVILLE – This Independence Day, WeGo Public Transit bus service will operate on Sunday/Holiday service hours and run the Star’s annual July 4th train. These services help residents and visitors safely celebrate the Let Freedom Sing! Fourth of July event. Masks are required on all WeGo services.
WeGo Bus
All routes will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. Service on select routes will be extended to get customers home after the fireworks. Rides will be free from 4 p.m. until the end of service.
Regular service buses on all routes will depart WeGo Central at 9:15 p.m. At the conclusions of the fireworks display, select routes will have a single departure at 10:30 p.m. from Broadway in front of Hume-Fogg Magnet School (between 7th and 8th Avenues):

WeGo Star
Starting June 9, 650 July 4th train tickets will be available for purchase on ticketsnashville.com. Round-trip tickets cost $15 with a $1 processing fee and cannot be purchased at local train stations. The tickets will remain on sale until 24 hours before the event, or until the train is sold out. Riders will receive one ticket for the round-trip and must present it to receive a colored wristband for the return trip. Children age four and younger will not need a ticket to board, but are required to sit in a parent or guardian’s lap. Weekday WeGo Star tickets or monthly passes will not be accepted for the July 4th train.
The return train will leave Riverfront 45 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks show. Riders will need to show their wristband in order to reboard the train.
The WeGo Star will depart train stations to Nashville at the following times:
Lebanon: 4:00 p.m.
Hamilton Springs: 4:08 p.m.
Martha: 4:15 p.m.
Mt. Juliet: 4:25 p.m.
Hermitage: 4:35 p.m.
Donelson: 4:45 p.m.
Riverfront: 5:00 p.m.
Access
Regular Access service will end at 9:30 p.m. Rides will be free from 4 p.m. until the end of service. At the conclusion of the fireworks display, Access vans will have a single departure at 10:30 p.m. from Broadway in front of Hume-Fogg Magnet School (between 7th and 8th Avenues). Access riders who would like transportation leaving the July 4th event need to schedule their trip before 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 3.
