    Dismas House Honors Outstanding Volunteers and Residents During Volunteer Appreciation Week

    NASHVILLE, Tenn., – March 10, 2021 – Leading Middle Tennessee reentry program, Dismas House of Nashville, announces the outstanding volunteers and residents of the year in an annual celebration. Volunteer Appreciation Week, held on February 21-26, 2021, recognized the contributions and achievements of Dismas House of Nashville’s volunteers, partners, board members, and a resident. During the week, honorees attended a special lunch in their honor at Dismas House, received a special gift and recognition including a spotlight video on the organization’s Facebook page.

    “The strength of our organization is built on the dedication of our longstanding volunteers who serve Dismas House,” says Kay Kretsch, Interim CEO, Dismas House of Nashville. “We salute our volunteers who serve as mentors, counselors and coaches for our residents. We appreciate your commitment to improving residents’ lives and welcoming them back into the community.”

    Dismas House honored the following individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions in 2020:

    · Community Partner of the Year: Melvin Ferguson, Clinical Manager and Robert Jackson IV, Outpatient Therapist, Centerstone

    · Board Member of the Year: Dawn Mason, Managing Director of Purchasing, CoreCivic

    · John Jenkins Jr. Resident Service Award: Edward

    · Volunteer of the Year: Mary Beth Harding, Yoga Teacher, Steadfast & True Yoga

    · Grace Morales Commitment to Service Award: Thomas Stearns, Retired
