    Les Dames d’Escoffier Nashville Announces Free Educational Workshop Series “Sustain & Flourish in Adversity” for Women in Hospitality, March 4th

    Nashville, Tenn. (TN Tribune) — Les Dames d’Escoffier (LDEI) Nashville announces “Sustain & Flourish in Adversity,” a year-long educational workshop series by and for women in food, fine beverage, hospitality and farming. The free webinar series – made possible through a grant from The Women’s Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee – will include five one-hour topical discussions featuring industry experts and LDEI Nashville members representing all facets of the hospitality industry.
    “As an organization of women leaders and innovators in food, fine beverage, hospitality and farming, LDEI and its members have witnessed and experienced COVID-19’s extreme and adverse impact on women and women-run businesses in these interconnected fields,” said Nancy Vienneau, past president of LDEI Nashville. “Aligning with our mission, and serving as a companion piece to our successful Career Advancement Grant programs, we have designed a series of educational workshop sessions led by our member professionals, to give women in these fields the tools to sustain and flourish.”
    Registration is now open for the first session of the series entitled Redefining and Refining Hospitality in a Pandemic a dialogue with hospitality professionals on Tuesday, March 4 featuring Dee Patel, Managing Director of the Hermitage Hotel and Cara Graham, owner and general manager of Lockeland Table moderated by Vienneau.

    Each one-hour session, held virtually via Zoom, will provide an opportunity for engagement and discussion, and take-away materials will be provided to each attendee. While the event is free and open to the general public, registration for each session is required. A recap of each session will be made available as a podcast at a later date in partnership with Nashville Restaurant Radio.
    ABOUT THE NASHVILLE CHAPTER OF LES DAMES D’ESCOFFIER
    Les Dames Nashville is a local chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI), a network of professional women in food, beverage, hospitality, and farming who are passionate about supporting women in those fields. Through our events, we raise money to fund our career advancement grants and scholarships, while furthering education and appreciation of our industry. Established in 2014, the chapter now includes 77 members.
