Nashville, Tenn, (TN Tribune) — The EPICC Project is thrilled to announce a transformative event, Faith & Health: An EPICC Day, taking place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Cal Turner Family Center, Meharry Medical College, located at 1011 21st Ave North, Nashville.
The event, targeted at pastors, health ministry leaders, and church members, offers an opportunity to collaborate with The EPICC Project in bringing free health promotion programs to their congregations.
The EPICC Project is dedicated to promoting health and wellness within faith communities, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being.

“We are excited to bring this event to our faith community,” said Leah Alexander, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Public Health at Meharry Medical College. Dr. Alexander is one of the members on The EPICC Project’s academic team.
“Our goal is to provide churches with the tools and resources they need to promote health within their congregations, and we believe this event will be a significant step in that direction,” said Rebecca Selove, Ph.D., Director of TSU’s Center for Prevention Research and The EPICC Project’s lead principal investigator. Other partners include Vanderbilt University and the Congregation Health and Education Network (CHEN) at Nashville General.
This event is open to all church leaders and members who are interested in improving the health and wellness of the Nashville community. Admission is free and RSVP is required.
