SMYRNA, TN — Mildred Floyd passed away peacefully on May 9, 2022, at the age of 93. A former First Lady of Tennessee State University, she is preceded in death by her husband Otis L. Floyd Jr. and her son Otis L. Floyd III. She is survived by children Paulette Floyd (Thomas), Sylvia Davis (Bob) and Reginald Floyd Sr. (Leona), and a host of other family and friends.
Viewing will take place Fri., May 20, from 4-7 p.m. at Lewis & Wright Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. Visitation Sat., May 21, from 11a to noon with service to follow at First Baptist Church South Inglewood. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Otis L. Floyd Jr. and Maggie L. Floyd Memorial Scholarship Fund at TSU.
