NASHVILLE, TN — The plus-size boutique Curves with Purpose, allows ladies to look their best, while supporting a business that has both fashion and philanthropy as part of their mission statement. Nancy Youssef founded Curves with Purpose while she was still a student in fashion design school. “The Curves with Purpose dream started almost twenty years ago. As a student in fashion design school, I was moved to create a plus size clothing line. Inspired by my own cultural experiences (Egyptian) and watching so many family and friends unable to find quality, staple wardrobe pieces that fit, I set out to create a line that could be adopted in main stream retail,” Ms. Youssef shared with the Tribune about her online only store. Fast forward from being a design student with a dream, to one year ago, opening her Music City store.
The boutique is a mainstay for plus-size clothing attire that offers quality statement pieces that are a staple in every woman’s wardrobe, offering fashions in women’s sizes, all the way up to a 3X. According to the beautiful Egyptian American Ms. Youssef, the store is a fashion movement, curating global brands to celebrate every woman’s curves.
Curves with Purpose has been recognized for their outstanding collection of jeans, called the “Denim Bar.” The jeans have been praised by customers as being some of the best fitting jeans in fashion, no matter what your height or curves. Ms. Youssef shares: “We have implemented a digital fit tool to help demystify the process of finding your size. When you’re on our site, you’re able to enter your measurements which will help us guide you to your size in each item we sell. It has been phenomenal and a great way to ease the online shopping experience.”
Curves with Purpose is not just another pretty face, pretty boutique, that helps women feel their prettiest when it comes to fashion. One of the core principles Ms. Yousef founded the store on was the beauty of always giving back, whether through local charities, national/global charities, or even as mentors through volunteering.
Youssef and her staff have established the Curves with Purpose brand at some of Nashville and other locations leading events, featuring trendy fashions and diverse women who love to look their best. Events such as the Southern Women’s Show, the Full-Figured Fashion Week in New York and proudly represented Nashville when they participated in Essence of Curves in New Orleans. “Locally, we create pop-up shops to bring our brand to the consumer. We recognize our customer wants to touch feel and learn about the brand in person. Anyone can be a part of our journey, we work with real women, so you don’t need any experience in modeling, fashion, or anything like that, just a will to share your journey. The fun and fashion will continue with Curves with Purpose. There’s pop-up shops nearly every month. The next one is at Cool Springs Galleria Mall August 20th through September 2nd. Ladies can expect to see styling sessions, inspirational happy hours meet n’ greet, and of course the latest in fashions.
