Mary Catherine Bailey Barnwell, 91, of New Bern passed Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 PM, Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, 720 Bern St. The interment will be held at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Suitland, Maryland.
Mary is predeceased by her daughter, René in 2022.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dr. Sydney Barnwell, former physcian of Meharry Medical College; daughter, Maria Barnwell of Arizona; son, John Barnwell of New Bern and three grandchildren.
