    Music City Turkey Trot Returns Thanksgiving Morning with Thousands Expected at Nissan Stadium

     

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.–November 24, 2025— The Music City Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Waddle returns to Downtown Nashville on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, welcoming families, athletes, visitors and holiday enthusiasts to one of the city’s fastest-growing holiday traditions. The race begins at 8:00 AM and concludes around 10:00 AM, starting and finishing at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans.

     

    Produced by Run Nash, Nashville’s largest locally owned race organization, the event blends fitness, festivity and community spirit—encouraging healthy living while celebrating the holiday with style. Participants will enjoy professionally managed race support, scenic riverfront views and an energetic start to Thanksgiving morning.

     

    Race Registration & Amenities

     

    All participants in both the 5K and 1 Mile Waddle receive:

    ·      Official race bib and timing

    ·      Commemorative long-sleeve participant shirt

    ·      Finisher medal

     

    ·      Entry Fees:

    5K – $65

    1 Mile – $45

     

    Leashed dogs are welcome, making the event a festive and family-friendly outing for both two- and four-legged participants.

     

    Pre-Race Packet Pickup

    Runners are encouraged to pick up packets prior to race morning to avoid long lines and delays. Please note: each day has a different pickup location.

    Location: Nissan Stadium

    Race Day Packet Pickup: 7:00–7:50 AM

    5K Start: 8:00 AM

    1 Mile Waddle Start: Approximately 8:10 AM

     

    Start/Finish Line areas are open to the public.

    Please plan to arrive early if you need to pick up packets onsite.

     

    Parking Information

    ·      Participants should enter Lots G & M via Woodland Street, which will remain accessible throughout the event.

    ·      Lot R will be available but not accessible during the 5K.

    ·      All other lots will remain locked.

    ·      A full parking and access map is available for participants and the community.

     

    Road Closure Information

    Suggested Alternate Routes

    Broadway and Church Street for riverfront access

    Demonbreun at 1st, 2nd, 4th and 8th Ave South for north/south travel

    James Robertson Parkway or Woodland Street for east/west river crossings

     

    Drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution and follow officer instructions.

     

    To support local businesses and residents, Run Nash is providing advance notice of route usage and traffic adjustments. Police officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with traffic flow and will move vehicles safely across the course during breaks in runner and walker groups.

     

     

    Volunteer Opportunities 

    Run Nash is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help support the event.

     

    Race Day Volunteers – Nissan Stadium

    Thursday, Nov. 27 | 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM

    Assist with water stations, finish line operations and participant support.

     

    Pre-Race Packet Pickup Volunteers

    Tuesday, Nov. 25 | 3 PM – 7 PM

    Dick’s Sporting Goods – Mt. Juliet

     

    Wednesday, Nov. 26 | 11 AM – 5 PM

    Dick’s Sporting Goods – West Nashville
