Nashville, Tenn. (TN Tribune)— The Nashville Foundation for Women of Color, Inc. (NFWOC) will present Women of Color Trailblazing to Leadership, a virtual panel discussion, on Thursday, June 16, from noon until 1:00 p.m.

Sponsored by Meharry Medical College, the dialogue will help upwardly mobile professional women and aspiring professional women of color to understand what they can achieve through ability, opportunity, luck, mentorship, and education.

Panel speakers for the event include: Allison Green Johnson, senior vice president and chief diversity officer, Lincoln Financial Group; Monica Fawknotson, executive director, Metropolitan Nashville Sports Authority; and Sharon Roberson, Esq. president/CEO, YWCA Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

This panel of corporate leaders are innovative thinkers, dreamers, and influencers who will share their professional journey. The conversation will include the career barriers they have faced, tips on staying grounded and nurturing themselves through self-care, strategies to balance family and work, and advice on how to increase opportunities for upward mobility.

The Nashville Foundation for Women of Color, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of professional women of color supporting and serving the Nashville community one program at a time.

NFWOC was established in 2007 by the late Dr. Lorraine W. Greene as the Nashville Coalition of 100 Black Women Foundation, Inc., changing its name and expanding its focus in December 2016.
