This year for health’s sake, WFSK will do an indoor/outdoor 48-Hour Radiothon. We’ll broadcast live from our parking lot on Friday and Saturday, October 1-2 from 9am to 6pm.
WFSK’s Annual Radiothon’s are always exciting and you never know who or what’s next! We’ll have our booth set-up and have a drive-thru donation lane with tons of fun, loads of laughter and live entertainment as we collect donations to support WFSK, Nashville’s Jazz Station.
In the last 15-years WFSK’s fund drives have helped to raise $299,616.11 to keep the non-profit radio station operating.
WFSK’s 48-hour Radiothon’s net the most annually for the station. “2020’s pandemic was hard on us financially”, said Sharon Kay, WFSK GM. “We lost the bulk of our underwriters and about half of our donors who were experiencing health issues, uncertainty and financial difficulties.
We hope to re-coup some of that this year for our first-ever indoor/outdoor Radiothon with drive-thru donations and a live remote broadcast. In keeping the the tradition you won’t want to miss an exciting moment!
