(TN Tribune)- Meharry Medical College is hosting a Community Conversation with Freddie O’Connell and Alice Rolli to give Nashville’s underserved and underrepresented populations a chance to hear from the candidates ahead of the runoff election on September 14. The event will be held Cal Turner Family Center on Meharry’s campus | 1011 21st Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208 on Wednesday, August 23 | 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. CT. | Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

An institution in Nashville for nearly 150 years, Meharry Medical College finds it essential to ensure that the wants and needs of Davidson County’s most underserved and underrepresented populations are top of mind as residents head to the polls on September 14. The Community Conversation will allow the Mayoral candidates to explain how they plan to effectively tackle both large and small issues that are impacting underserved residents in the county.
Meharry Medical College, founded in 1876, is the nation’s largest private, independent historically Black academic health sciences center dedicated to educating minority and other health professionals. True to its heritage, it is a United Methodist Church related institution.
