Oasis Center’s Crisis to Housing Department is proud to announce the first-ever “No Cap, We Care” Youth Block Party, set for Friday, November 21st, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the heart of the Napier Sudekum community—one of Nashville’s largest low-income family housing areas.
This inaugural event kicks off Youth Hope Month and invites young people to celebrate the start of Thanksgiving break with food, fun, supportive resources, and community-building activities. The “No Cap, We Care” Block Party is designed to offer hope, connection, and encouragement to youth while highlighting valuable services available to them.
    Event Highlights:
    · Free food and refreshments
    · Games, music, and fun activities
    · Access to supportive resources and community organizations
    · Opportunities to connect with local leaders and mentors
“We want every young person to know that they matter, their futures are bright, and their community stands behind them,” said Devon Guinn, Shelter Day Manager at Oasis Center. “By gathering in Napier Sudekum, we’re making a statement about the importance of equity, support, and opportunity for Nashville’s youth.”
“No Cap, We Care” is the first event of its kind hosted by Oasis Center’s Crisis to Housing Department, with plans to make it an annual tradition. The block party hopes to serve as a recurring awareness event aimed at equipping Nashvillians with the knowledge of resources available in their community that can support runaway and homeless youth, including Oasis Center’s 24-Hour Crisis Line.
