    Pearl High School Heritage Classes Foundation Awards Scholarships to Descendants of Pearl High Classmates

    Nashville, TN – (TN Tribune) The Pearl High School Heritage Classes Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of scholarships to outstanding high school students who are descendants of Pearl High School classmates.

    This initiative underscores the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the educational
    aspirations of the descendants of Pearl High School alumni. The Pearl High School Heritage Classes Foundation was established to honor the legacy and rich history of Pearl High School in Nashville, Tennessee. By providing financial assistance, the Foundation aims to help students achieve their educational goals and continue the tradition of excellence associated with Pearl High School.

    “We are thrilled to support the next generation of students who carry the legacy of Pearl High School,” said, Henry Irvin Jr. (class of 1962) ,Chairman of the Foundation. “These scholarships represent our commitment to education and our belief in the potential of these young individuals to make significant contributions to their communities and beyond.” Rev. Troy Merritt (class of 1966) and a Board member stated, ”since 2006, we have been blessed to have awarded over $100.000 in scholarship to deserving students who are heirs of
    the Pearl High School legacy.”

    This year’s recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. The scholarships will help cover tuition, books, and other educational expenses, providing crucial support as these students embark on their higher education journeys.

    The Scholarship Presentation Award ceremony will be held on July 31, 2024, at Greater Bethel AME Church, 1300 South Street Nashville, where the scholarship recipients will be recognized for their achievements and their connection to the proud heritage of Pearl High School, Nashville, Tennessee. The event will feature speeches from Foundation members, scholarship recipients, and notable alumni, celebrating the enduring impact of the Pearl High School community.
