NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Chapter of Les Gemmes will hold its 17th annual Literary Luncheon on Saturday, May 18. It begins at 11 am at the Music City Center.

This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Stories…Empowering Our Future.”

The featured author is journalist Reshonda Tate,  author of the Queen of Sugar Hill, and 50 other books. Tate is a renowned scholar, journalist, presenter and author.

This traditional fundraiser supports the “Lighting the Path for Girls Initiative.  The young ladies are called Jewels and they are exposed to an array of activities to provide them a holistic lifestyle.

The Honorable Karen Johnson is chair of the luncheon and Dr. Candra Clariette is co-chair. “They are doing a wonderful job to make this event a success,” said Les Gemmes President Dr. Phyllis Qualls.

Vendors are a traditional part of the program and invited to participate.
