WSMV4’S Chris Harris to Moderate Tim Tebow Discussion at Cumberland University

LEBANON, Tenn. – WSMV4’s sports anchor Chris Harris will moderate Cumberland University’s Rise Above discussion panel with Tim Tebow on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in Baird Chapel.

In April, Cumberland announced two-time national champion, first-round NFL draft pick, Heisman Trophy winner and author Tim Tebow as this year’s Rise Above speaker at Homecoming. This speaker series will provide students, members of the community and prospective students the opportunity to learn and gain insight through the experiences of others. After Tim Tebow speaks at Nokes-Lasater Field at 2 p.m. on the day of Homecoming, he will attend an invitation-only moderated discussion about making a difference in the lives of others with Chris Harris and Cumberland’s Vice President for Athletics Ron Pavan.

“Cumberland is fortunate to have great friendships across multiple fields,” said Pavan. “We are thankful that Chris Harris would dedicate his time and expertise to Cumberland. It’s not every day a sports anchor is willing to cover a university’s Homecoming game instead of a Titan’s game,” said Pavan.

Chris Harris joined the sports team at WSMV4 in 2011. Harris’ career in journalism led him to cover back-to-back BCS title winners, the NFL, the SEC, NASCAR and IndyCar races, PGA golf tournaments and minor league baseball. He has received multiple Emmy nominations and has been recognized numerous times by the Associated Press for anchoring, reporting and producing.
