NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) announced today that, following the end of the federal government shutdown, it received guidance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service to begin issuing full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November 2025 beginning Monday, November 17. USDA has directed states to return to using the traditional calculation tables that determine maximum SNAP payment amounts, allowing benefits to be issued at the normal amounts.
